The ‘Team
Tedford RE/MAX’ REBELS were busy B’s in November … here’s a recap!
In LLFHL Action . . .
Nov. 10th vs Woolwich Wild 1 – 0 Loss
ST.JACOBS - With our goalie a little under the weather, there was a heavy concentration on defensive play.
Despite dominating the play, and keeping the majority of the action in Woolwich’s end, we just couldn’t find the net. A turnover and a breakaway did us in.
Nov. 11th vs Stratford Aces 3 – 2 WIN
STRATFORD – The Aces got on the board at the end of the first period with a P.P. goal.
Reese Wilkins was a force in the 2nd period, picking up a hat-trick! She scored at 7:59 assisted by Kenna McKee, 5:11 assisted by Kenna and Natalie Franks, and seconds later at 5:06 unassisted.
Ashlynn Stephenson made some timely saves and the girls held on for the win.
Nov.16th vs Woodstock Wildcats 5 – 0 WIN
WOODSTOCK - The girls dominated the play in this match, gave a full team effort, and recorded 5 different goal scorers. Ash was back to full strength in the REBELS net too.
Jade Gilchrist shot straight into the net, off a faceoff from Natalie @ 3:04 (1st Period)
Lindsay Elliot took a hard shot from the point, assisted by Kenna @ 0:31 (1st)
Tristin Brown with a reverse wrap around @ 0:54 (2nd)
Reese with assists to Jade and Kenna @ 10:59 (3rd)
Natalie unassisted @ 6:07 (3rd)
Nov. 17th vs Kitchener Lady Rangers 1 – 0 Loss
MARKDALE – Again the REBELS dominated the play, but there was just no puck luck against the Rangers’ giant goalie.

With 4 straight wins in the round-robin, our REBELS finished in 1st in their pool.

Nov.23rd Game 1: vs Kent County Fillies (winners of the Tournament) 2 – 1 WIN
The Fillies scored a PP Goal midway through the 1st period, but Jade answered back at 3:20 on a pass from Natalie.
Tristin added the go ahead goal at 0:34 in the 2nd, assisted by Kyla Thalen
The girls played a great deal of this game short-handed, and did an amazing job of it. They even killed the final seconds of the game 6 on 4.

Nov. 23rd Game 2: vs Brantford Ice Cats 3 – 1 WIN
** The B’s first penalty free game in a LONG time **
Natalie scored unassisted 9:30 (1st)
Brontae Frook, assisted by Natalie @ 4:57 (3rd), and
Kyla buried the empty netter, assisted by Tristin @ 1:49 (3rd)

Nov. 24th Game 3: vs Woolwich Wild 2 – 1 WIN
There was no score for the first 2 periods, with excellent goal tending at both ends of the ice.
As the arm went up for a Wild penalty in the 3rd, Lindsay took off down the ice, cut in on her way to the net and buried the puck @ 10:48, assist going to Brontae.
The Wild tied it up less than a minute later, but with a full line effort @ 9:04, Katelynn Lavergne got the puck to Grace Kivell for the shot, and Aubrey Urbshott was at the net for the tip in.

Nov.24th Game 4: vs Bancroft Jets 4 – 0 WIN
Once again, there was no score after 2 full periods of play.
Kyla got the scoring going @ 8:18 when the puck deflected off Joren Wilcox and came front and centre for Kyla’s shot to the net.
Natalie added a wrap-around goal @ 3:18.
Jade got knocked down (no penalty called), but got back up and scored on the empty net @ 0:51
The Jets goalie went back in and Rachel Malette picked up the puck at the hash marks and shot top shelf, assist going to Joren @ 0:34.

Nov.26th SEMI-FINALS vs Flamborough Falcons (undefeated this season) 1 – 0 Loss
This tight match up could have gone either way, with aggressive offence, strong defence, and amazing goal tending at both ends.
The Falcon’s capitalized on a power play @ 6:00 in the 3rd to take the lead. We pulled our goalie for the man advantage, only to be inflicted with an interference call (what?) and were knocked back down to 5 on 5. The Falcon’s didn’t get near our net, but we couldn’t manage to get the puck in theirs either, so that is how it ended . . . 1 – 0.

NO REGRETS (maybe a few) … The girls all played amazing!!! GO-REBELS-GO
