Giving Up Was NOT an Option!!
The Township of Chatsworth "Air-Tech Mechanical" Bantam Boys LL1 played the Bruce Peninsula Predators on Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 at the Tara Arena.  This was the fifth playoff game for the Rebels.

The first period saw the Rebels working out some kinks.  The Predators capitalized on some missed passes and some missed opportunities.  The Predators scored early at 7:55 and then again at 1:11.  Try as they might, the Rebels seemed to miss the net or shoot the puck directly into the opposing goalie.  But giving up was NOT an option.

The second period was very busy with lots of back and forth play and some great saves by both goalies.  The Predators eventually got a third goal at 2:40, the only goal of the period.  But giving up was NOT an option.

It all came down to period three.  The Rebels had yet to score a goal.  The Predators had scored three goals over two periods, 2 in the first, 1 in the second so a trend was emerging and Rebels' goalie DJ Gamble and his defensive squad were determined ensure that the Predators would NOT score in Period 3.  At 9:25 Curtis Wade got the Rebels on the scoreboard with a breakaway goal, unassisted.  Pearce Lacey scored the next goal at 4:46, assisted by Dalan Frook and Jack Diaz.  The Rebels were gaining momentum but would it be enough?  At 1:59, Dalan Frook scored the tying goal, assisted by Curtis Wade and it appeared that this game was headed for Overtime.  Both coaches had used their timeouts so it was all left up to the players.  Curtis Wade and Dalan Frook raced up the ice with literally only seconds left on the clock in Regulation Time, a two on one.  Curtis Wade expertly passed the puck to Dalan Frook at the last possible second and Dalan Frook scored a beautifully timed five-holer with 4.7 seconds left on the clock!!

Final Score:  Rebels 4,       Predators 3

Congratulations Rebels!! Way to persevere!!
