Rebel versus Rebel
The Township of Chatsworth "Air-Tech Mechanical" Bantam Boys LL1 played the Township of Chatsworth "Air-Tech Mechanical" Bantam Boys LL2 on Sunday, March 18th, 2018 at the Markdale Arena. This was Game One of the WOAA Elite Finals. These two teams are well known for their fast-paced action and their good sportsmanship, each time they play each other. Today was NO exception.
LL1 was the first to get on the scoreboard when Adam Gorman netted a nice one at 8:38 in period one, unassisted. Then it was a very defensive battle between the teams. Goalies DJ Gamble (LL1) and Jason Rudolph-MacLeod (LL2) drew ovations from the fans with their amazing saves. No goals were scored during the remainder of period one, nor in period two.
LL2 tied things up early in period three when Austin King scored, unassisted. The teams battled on and it looked like this game was headed for over-time when LL1 scored for the second time with just 6 seconds left in regulation time. This goal was scored by Curtis Wade and was assisted by Dalan Frook. This proved to be the game winner.
