Seven Goals Scored by Five Different Players
The Township of Chatsworth "Air-Tech Mechanical" Bantam Boys LL1 played the Ripley Wolves on Sunday March 11th, 2018 at the Markdale Arena.  This was the eighth and final playoff game in round one for both teams.  Ripley was, coincidentally, one of the first teams that the Rebels had faced in the playoffs this year.

Both teams came out strong and fast.  The Rebels were coming off of a two game losing skid so they wanted to see if they could get things working once more.  Ripley had won their last three games and were looking to add another win.

The Rebels opened the scoring early with a beautiful long bomb from Jack Diaz, unassisted at 9:05 in period one.  Jack Kivell raced up the ice and scored the next goal at 6:45, assisted by his defensive partner, Colby McComb.  Adam Gorman scored next for the Rebels at 4:54, assisted by Aaron Sadler.  The Wolves scored their first goal at 1:15.  3 - 1 at the end of period one.

The Wolves added a second goal at 6:46 in the second period.  Charlie Scott answered back, with some neat dangles along the way, assisted by Pearce Lacey and his defensive partner Landon Heathers.  The Wolves scored a third goal near the end of the period.  4 - 3 at the end of period two.

The flood happened and the Rebels regrouped for period three.  Charlie Scott scored his second goal of the game at 11:46, assisted by Adam Gorman and Jack Diaz.  Dalan Frook added an amazingly quick goal just 4 seconds later at 11:42, unassisted.  Then, near the end of the game Adam Gorman blasted out of his end with the puck, passing the Wolves' defence, while short-handed.  Everyone thought that Adam would dump the puck and kill off the final seconds of the penalty....but Adam had other plans.  He cut to the Wolves' net and buried the puck, with authority, Adam's second goal of the game.  Meanwhile, Rebel's goalie DJ Gamble did not allow a single goal in period three.

Final Score:     Rebels  7,   Wolves 3

Congratulations to the Rebels and good luck as you prepare for the next round of the playoffs against your friends on the TCDMHA Bantam LL2 team.
