A High Scoring Affair!!
The Township of Chatsworth "Air-Tech Mechanical" Bantam Boys LL1 played the the Township of Chatsworth "Air-Tech Mechanical" Bantam Boys LL2 at the Markdale Arena on Sunday, February 11th, 2018.  Both teams are starting into their playoffs.  Both teams also love the game and they were prepared to put on a good show for their fans.  The first period involved a lot of good passes but not a lot of shots on net.  No goals were scored in period one but that was about to change in a BIG way.

Period two saw LL2 score first.  Curtis Wade answered right back with a beautiful goal, unassisted.  Jack Diaz scored the next goal of the game, assisted by Colby McComb and Charlie Scott.  Next up was a goal from Jack Kivell, assisted by Curtis Wade and Charlie Scott.  One would think that two goals is a nice lead, but against LL2 it was not nearly enough.  LL2 unloaded during the next five minutes of the period and scored four more goals.  Yes, you read it correctly, LL2 scored four more goals before the end of period 2 to put the score at 5 - 3.

Period three promised to be exciting.  Both teams had proven in period two that they knew how to score.  Now it was just a matter of who could score more goals before the final buzzer.  Curtis Wade opened the scoring with another nice goal, unassisted.  LL2 scored again to maintain their two goal lead.  Charlie Scott answered right back on a power play, assisted by Pearce Lacey and Curtis Wade.  About a minute later, Landon Heathers took the puck from the defensive zone and skated the length of the ice, making some nice moves along the way, and scored the tying goal, unassisted.  Both teams battled back and forth for the next seven minutes without scoring a single goal.  Just as it looked like the game was about to go into OT, Pearce Lacey took a page out of the Landon Heathers' play book and carried the puck the length of the ice, making some fancy moves along the way, to deliver the final goal of the game with 0:23 left on the clock.  LL2 pulled their goalie but no further goals were scored.

Final Score:     LL1   7,     LL2   6

What a game!!  It was exciting from start to finish!!
