Victory for the Rebels in their Final Game of the 2018 Regular Season
The Township of Chatsworth "Air-Tech Mechanical" Bantam Boys LL1 played the West Grey Warriors on Sunday, January 28th, 2018 at the Markdale Arena. Both teams were victorious in earlier games this week end and both teams were looking for another win. Aaron Sadler started the scoring in today's game with a wraparound goal that some say has become his "trademark". Charlie Scott got the assist on that one. That was the only goal in period one. Off to period two.
Both teams worked hard to control the puck in period two. While short-handed, Curtis Wade tipped the puck between the defensemen from West Grey and raced up the ice to deliver a quick snipe into the back of the net. And with that, the Rebels took even more control of the game. With about four minutes left in the period, Curtis Wade fired a hard breakout pass to Dalan Frook who raced up the ice and delivered a beautiful drop pass for Jack Kivell who fired the puck into the West Grey net, with authority. What a play!! 3 - 0 at the end of period two.
The third period was scoreless for about 10 minutes. Dalan Frook made no mistake with those quick hands and scored on a great pass from Landon Heathers. Rebel's goalie DJ Gamble earned another shutout. Well done. There were some really nice clutch saves today!!
