Rebels win First Playdown game; Vokes gets Hat trick
The Desboro Lion's Club Atom Girls C team defeated the Bruce Peninsula Predators 4-0 in their second playdown game of the season. That gives us 2 points with three games remaining in our playdown round. The top two teams will advance to Provincials in Toronto.
Despite many hard shots on the Predators net the first period remained scoreless. The Rebels got things going in the second period. Abby Vokes scored in the first two minutes assisted by Cecily Mallette and Georgia Rutter. Abby scored again in the second period, this time assisted by Kloey Jex and Grace Scott. With just over a minute left to play Cecily Mallette tapped in her second goal of the season. It was assisted by Brittany Rodger and Natalie Mole. In the third period Abby Vokes added one more goal giving her another hat trick! Her third goal was assisted by Emma MacDonnell and Summer Roney. Way to go Rebels! Good luck on Sunday with your league game against West Grey in Durham.
