The Rebels are Ready!!
The Desboro Lion's Club Atom Girls are ready for their year end tournament this weekend in Saugeeen Shores. They proved that by defeating the Kincardine girls 3-2 tonight in a hard fought exhibition game.
It was an exciting game as the two teams were very evenly matched. Abby Vokes scored the first goal on a wrap around the net unassisted. Kincardine answered back shortly after with a goal by Heidi Allen and it was tied 1-1.
The game went back and forth until Abby Vokes deked out the Kincardine goalie and scored again. The goal was assisted by Claire Vokes and Georgia Rutter.
Kincardine again answered back to make it a 2-2 game. Finally in the third Abby Vokes got her third of the game and another hat trick to make it 3-2 for the Rebels. Summer Roney made the pass to earn the assist.
Everyone worked very hard and should be proud of themselves. The girls play on Saturday at 1:30 in Southampton against Mount Forest. Come out and cheer us on!!
