Rebel Atom Girls Face Tough loss in Semi-Finals!
The Rebel Atoms came out on the ice today with their game faces on! They gave it their all in a tough loss to the Markdale Shooting Stars.

Late in the first period Abigail Vokes scored the first goal to give the Rebels the lead. Emma MacDonnell assisted. Grace Vokes was making countless saves and the Rebels held the lead for the entire second period. Everyone was determined to defeat Markdale as they have been the leading team in our division all season.

In the third period the Shooting Stars tied it up. Abby Vokes scored again, unassisted to make it 2-1 and the Rebels were in the lead again!!

There were some tense moments in the last five minutes as we got a penalty and were playing short handed. Markdale took their time-out and came back full force and were able to capitalize on their power play. That made it 3-2 for Markdale. With only 4 minutes left the Rebels took their time-out and then pulled their goalie. Despite a great effort they were unable to tie it up.

Abby Vokes earned the pink helmet for hardest working player. The girls should all be very proud of themselves for a great game and a great season!
