Atom Rebel Girls Blank Walkerton 6-0!!
The Desboro Lion's Club TCDMHA Atom girls defeated the Walkerton team 6-0 on Saturday afternoon in regular league play.  Grace Vokes got the shut out.  Thanks to our big crowd of fans cheering on the girls!  It is a real boost to them to see so many family and friends out!

The first period was fairly even and ended 1-0 for the Rebels. Abigail Vokes scored the first goal, assisted by Brooke Farrow.  The Rebels poured it on in the second period adding four more goals.  Emma MacDonnell, who was moved up from defence for the first game of the season, scored twice assisted by Jamie Gilchrist and Cecily Mallette. Tara Meikle also scored assisted by Grace Scott and Summer Roney.  The final goal of the period was again scored by Abby Vokes, assisted by Jamie Gilchrist.  In the third period Kloey Jex added the final marker for the Rebels assisted by Claire Vokes.  Super effort lady rebels!  Great passing and all around play as goals were scored by forwards and defence.  Good luck on Wednesday in Desboro at 6 pm in your second play down game against Bruce Peninsula.
