Atom Girls face a Tough Loss in a Penalty filled match up with Saugeen Shores
The Desboro Lion's Club Atom Girls "C" fell 5-0 to Saugeen Shores this afternoon.  Despite the rough winter driving all the Atoms arrived at the Plex ready to play hard against the top ranked Saugeen Shores team.

In the first period, the Rebels were able to hold them until the last minute of play.  Grace Vokes made several great saves. With one minute remaining sharp shooter Skylar Pomroy of Saugeen Shores scored two quick goals.  She went on to score four of SS's five goals.  The refs were not letting anything go! They called a tight game giving us four penalties and Saugeen Shores three.  The Rebel girls fought hard considering it was 5 on 3 at one point!

The Rebels learned a lot and will put it to good use when we face them again in two weeks in the Saugeen Shores Silver Stick.  Way to show a lot of heart ladies! Good luck next Saturday when you travel to Mount Forest.

The attached picture is of the Rebels developing their core strength and flexibility last weekend doing Yoga as a group at the Pink on the Rink tournament.  Ang Vokes led the group on the Saturday afternoon
