Stevens scores 2!
The Great Lakes Frame Company Township of Chatsworth Atom Rep Rebels came out strong against the Shallow Lake Lakers and played their best game of the year thus far.
The Rebels took a 3-1 lead with a goal by Hunter Schultz (assisted by Josh Currie and Jordon Beirnes) and 2 goals by Mitch Stevens (assisted by Josh Currie [2], Chris Hardman and Aaron McConnell).
Unfortunately, the Rebels let up and allowed the Lakers come back and tie the game late in the second. In the third the Rebels were caught scrambling out of position and couldn’t seem to recover and soon the Lakers had a 3 goal lead. The Rebels then came back hard with many good scoring chances and the best skating and position playing fans have seen all year. Wyatt Golem made it 6 -4 (assisted by Riley Cook) but unfortunately, the clock shut down the come back and the Lakers take a 2-0 lead in the best of 5 series.
