Rebels Win in Walkerton
The Power Workers Union Midget Local League Boys Travelled to Walkerton for game two of their round robin playoff and came away with a solid 3-1 victory.

The boys played some solid hockey in the first and were able to limit the chances for the Capitals. Brandon Lidstrom got the Rebels on the board in the first period by taking a pass from Wes Houston in on the right side. While his first shot beat the goalie it hit the post and then banked into the net off the goalie. Later in the frame Hunter Courtney made a great pass from our zone to Houston who set up Tanner Timbers in the slot for a beauty. 2-0 Rebels.

The second period saw some penalties for the Rebels who managed to kill them off. This resulted in a scoreless period so the boys went into the break with their 2-0 lead intact. Early in the third Chris Hardman had a great individual effort winning a draw just outside the Walkerton blue line and splitting the two defenders made his way in to bury a backhander past the Walkerton net minder to extend the lead to 3. The boys continued to shut down the Capitals attack until just under 3 minutes left when they got a lucky tip past Jason Rudolph MacLeod. While the shutout was blown it was a great game for the boys who really controlled many aspects of the game.

Lets keep it rolling Friday night in Lion's Head Boys!
