Golem Scores 2
The Township of Chatsworth and District, Moggie Valley Timber Inc., Midget Rep Rebels traveled to Norwood to participate in the 2019 Norwood Minor Hockey Midget Tournament.  This tourney allows the Rebels to play against teams that they don't see in regular season play.

Game 1 was a struggle for the Rebels.  They were hammered by Campbellford and the officials did not seem to be able to maintain consistent control of the game.  Rebels were down 2 - 0 after the first.  Play improved a little in the second and Rebel goalie Lawson Cumming kept the Rebel net clear to keep the Rebels within comeback distance.  Unfortunately, Rebels could not control their emotions and were unable to stay out of the penalty box and, since it is hard to mount a comeback from there, Rebels were unable to score.  Campbellford eventually capitalized while the Rebels were down 2 men and the game ended 3 - 0.
Game 2 was better overall and a stronger effort by the Rebels. Once again, Cumming made some great saves to keep the score tied 0 - 0 after the first period versus Centre Hastings.
Period two started with a break away by Wyatt Golem which saw the puck buried in the Centre Hastings net and the Rebels score their first goal of the tourney.  Rebels battled hard but were unable to score again and the second period ended 1 - 0 in their favour.  Period 3 saw the Rebels denied on several excellent scoring opportunities and Rebel Goalie Cumming performing various acrobatic maneuvers to keep the TCD net clear. Finally, amid a strong push late in the third, which saw Centre Hastings pull their goalie and attack the Rebels in an all out assault to even the score, Golem broke out again.  He skated the puck all the way to the Centre Hastings crease to ensure maximum time ran off the clock before he slid it over the goal line for the insurance goal.
Rebels were rewarded for their much stronger effort with a 2 - 0 win and Lawson Cumming with the shut out for the Rebels.  Also, due to the number of points earned (tournament runs on a points system) in this game, Rebels end the round robin 2nd in their division as they head to the quarter finals.
