Robert LaFond Keeps the Rebels Competitive
The Township of Chatsworth "Barry's Construction" Pewee Boys LL played the Walkerton Capitals on Saturday, January 6th, 2018 at the Keady Arena. Robert LaFond tended goal for the Rebels. It has been said that the only thing better than a team with two great goalies, is a team with three great goalies, and the Rebels have that!!
Robert played very well and kept the Rebels competitive throughout the entire game against the number one ranked Capitals, a team that scores an average of 7 goals per game. Period one was very exciting with both goalies making great saves. No goals were scored in this period.
Period two was a different affair. Walkerton scored first and the Rebels answered right back. Jackson Greig scored, assisted by Ethen Blakey. Walkerton scored two more goals in period two and managed a single marker in period three.
Final Score: Rebels 1, Capitals 4
Good job Rebels and good luck tomorrow in your tournament in Schomberg.
