Not Enough Energy to Weather the Storm
The Township of Chatsworth "Barry's Construction" Pewee Boys LL played their fourth playoff game on Saturday, February 24th, 2018. This game was against the Saugeen Shores Storm #2 at the Plex in Port Elgin. Javier Koeslag was in net for the Rebels and he put forth a valiant effort to keep the pucks out of the net, despite what the score might suggest. There were many big saves, exciting saves, and breath taking saves.
The Storm came out strong and scored their first goal within the first two minutes of the game. The Storm scored again before the end of period one.
The Storm did not let up in period two, scoring three more goals.
The Storm scored again with 7:31 left in period three. Aiden Callahan-Cummnins said enough is enough and scored a beauty at 7:23, strategically assisted by Xander Kirk. For a moment, it looked like the Rebels would score another goal or two but it just was not in the cards today. The Storm scored two more goals by the end of the period.
