Jackson Greig Scores a Hat Trick..... and An Assist in 4 - 4 Tie with Shallow Lake
The Township of Chatsworth "Barry's Construction" Pewee Boys LL played the Shallow Lake Lakers on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the Keady Arena. Ethen Blakey was in net for the Rebels, this time around, and his performance was excellent.
Both teams were hungry for a goal in the first period but both goalies kept their nets clean in spite of some good opportunities. 0 - 0 at the end of period one. Things would change in period two.
Shallow Lake scored two goals and the Rebels scored three goals. The first goal for the Rebels was by Andersen McComb from a nice feed by Jackson Greig. Jackson Greig then scored on a speedy breakaway. The third goal was also scored by Jackson Greig, assisted by Sheldon Rodgers. 3 - 2 at the end of period two.
Jackson Greig completed his hat trick with a goal near the beginning of period three. A 4 - 2 lead was just not enough, as Shallow Lake scored two goals later in the period to tie up the game.
Final Score: Rebels 4, Shallow Lake 4
