The 'Jennifer Tedford REMAX' Midget C girls travelled to Lucknow tonight and brought home a 4 - 0 WIN.
The Rebels wasted no time getting on the board tonight.
Jessica Moran took the opening faceoff at centre ice,
Maddy Vokes picked up the puck, moved it into the offensive zone and sent a saucer pass to
Morgan Moran who tapped it out of the air and into the net at 14:42.
The girls kept the pressure on and the action in Lucknow's end.
Kyla Thalen got the puck over the goal line in a scramble at the net, assisted by
Grace Kuhl and
Grace Kivell at 11:03, and
Brittany Batterman fired a rocket from the point and
Morgan was there for the rebound at 5:00, assisted by
Skylar Golem.
The 2nd period action went end to end with
Hannah Mustard making some key saves in the Rebels' net. Finally, in the last minute of play
Maddy sent another pass to the net, and
Sam DeJong was there to redirect it past the goal tender at 0:27, assisted by
Morgan.
With several skaters under the weather tonight, we lost 2 at the intermission and the rest just seemed to go through the motions in the 3rd, and the full 15 minutes went by scoreless.
Thank you to AP-Morgan Moran for stepping in to help the girls out tonight.
The Rebels get a 5 day break, to rest and pump some vitamins into them, before heading to Durham to take on the West Grey Warriors on Sunday at 5pm.
Great job ladies!
