Novice LL#2, U9, 2015-2016 (TCDMHA)

Smiles filled the room after each game played today as the Hortons Concrete Finishing Novice LL2 team gave it all they had to go home with the feeling of being on top!  Well I think these coaches built a tournament team as they had great results in every tournament they entered this year!  A big thank you goes out to the person (who remains anonymous) that sponsored the team to play in this tournament. Both the players, coaches and parents had a great day.   

North Division 1st round playoffs seeded our Rebels in the top of the division due to the ranking of Elite. Some parents were asking how this happened so I thought I would try to explain. Our organization agreed on not having a representative team this year and devoted this season to building skills and confidence of the players for future years to come. Evaluations at the beginning of the season created two teams with the attempt to make them equally competitive in the league.  

Playoff time brings the best hockey of the season. With 2 games on the schedule this weekend there was a buzz in the dressing room as well as few nerves. That was quickly shaken off when they squared off with the Lucknow Sepoys. Fortunately we were able to travel there Saturday as the roads opened during our drive.

Two games left in the regular season, with the playoffs just around the corner. In the dressing room determination set on their faces, ready to take home a win. After 3 consecutive ties in a row it was time to tilt the score in the rebels direction.  

After eliminating Shallow Lake Lakers in the Tournament on the weekend, they squared off again Wednesday night.  Lakers came out with something to prove and the Rebels were feeling pretty confident awaiting the puck to drop.
