1 GOAL SHORT in BATTLE WITH SOUTH BRUCEi
The Royal Canadian Legion Chatsworth Branch 464 PeeWee Girls HL team battled until the end but lost to South Bruce with a score of 2-3.

There was a lot of excitement in the barn today when our girls hit the ice, the first period was a fight as both teams tried to dominate the play.  Jadzia Leask has some awesome saves including a beautiful glove save in the first period.  But with only 1:19 left in the period South Bruce slid one in between the pipes.

The Rebels continued to dual and their efforts paid off with a goal scored by Aubrey Urbshott assisted by Brooklyn Mole and Grace Scott, ending the second period with a 1-1 tie.

When the 3rd period started both teams where ready to rumble, and the Rebels started off with a break away with Brooklyn Mole, where she beautifully laid one in unassisted.  The South Bruce girls then scored making it a tie again of 2-2.  With only 1:06 left in the game, South Bruce then push their last goal in, the Rebels fought back and tried their hardest to tie it again but the clock just ran out of time.

An incredible effort was made by all!! The ladies are not back to battle until Saturday, December 20/14 in Palmerston to spar against the Upper Maintland Mustangs.  Go get’em Ladies!

SCOTIA BANK
The Community Hockey Sponsorship program has always been Scotiabank’s way of showing our commitment to kids’ hockey, a sport which unifies our nation, community by community. That’s why each of our more than 1,000 branches financially supports a local hockey team, league or association in their community. We know that being part of a team gives children more than just a chance to play, but also a chance to become involved in their community. That’s why we’re encouraging our branch staff and sponsored teams to donate their time – the equivalent to one practice – towards making a positive impact in their community. By inspiring and participating in volunteer initiatives, we’re committed to help communities get stronger together, like a team. Because that’s what Canada is all about. Throughout the year we’ll be recognizing and celebrating teams across the country with unique hockey experiences like visits from NHL Alumni or the Stanley Cup!
