Sailors Score Late to Earn a TIE
The Goderich Sailors scored twice in the last 3 minutes to earn a 5-5 tie with the Air Tech Mechanical Bantam Rebels in Game 2 of their Gregg Division Championship series.
The Rebels led 3-2 after 1 and 4-3 after 2. A early third period goal gave the Rebels a 2 goal cushion that looked like it would hold up but the Sailors scored with 2:58 remaining and again just 41 seconds later. Despite scoring opportunities by both sides, neither team was able to find the back of the net in OT.
Owen scored twice with Mitch, Cody and Brett adding 1 each for the Rebels. Assists went to Branson (2), Owen, Mason, Jay and Tyson.
The boys lead the 6 point series 3-1. The Rebels hot the road to Goderich Thursday night and are back in Chatty on Tuesday March 24th at 7 pm.
