Bantams Open Championship Series with a Win
The Air Tech Mechanical Bantams got off on the right foot in their opening game of the WOAA Gregg Division Championship series with a 3-1 victory over the Goderich Sailors.
Cody opened the scoring in this tight checking game halfway through the second period when he buried a nice feed from Carson. Just 33 seconds after the intermission Carson and Cody hooked up again for a similar goal, this time Carson scoring with Cody and Alex adding the assists. The Sailors Bayden Parent was able to get one past Ty with 5 minutes remaining to set up an exciting (or nervous) finish. With 51.3 seconds and the faceoff in the Rebels end, the Rebel coaches called a timeout. The move paid off as 10 seconds later the puck was out of our end and Cody found the empty net, assists to Carson and Owen.
Game 2 goes Tuesday night in Chatsworth at 7:00 pm, come on out and support the boys!
