Bantams Advance to WOAA Gregg Division Championship
The Air Tech Mechanical Bantam Rebels advanced to the WOAA Gregg Division championship series with a 2-1 victory over the West Grey Warriors.
Mitch gave the Rebels the lead with 49 seconds left in the first period. Mitch beat the Warriors netminder with a screened shot from the high point. Branson and Owen assisted. The Rebels were unable to convert on two power plays but with 4:32 left in the second Owen took a nice pass from Cody and found the back of the Warrior net. The boys took the 2-0 lead into the break and remained up by 2 until Max Davis scored with 1:14 remaining in the game to make things interesting. Some strong defensive work and key stop by Ty enabled the boys to close out the game.
The boys finished on top of their pool with a 5 and 1 record and now advance to the Gregg Division Championship series against a undetermined opponent.
