Bantams Take Two
The Air Tech Mechanical Bantam Rebels won back to back WOAA Gregg Division playoff games.
The Rebels travelled to Walkerton Monday night to face the Capitals and wasted no time getting on the scoreboard with three 1st period goals. The boys would score two more in the 2nd to take a 5-0 lead at the intermission. The Capitals Tristan Zettel scored the only goal of the third period with 29 seconds left, spoiling Ty's shutout attempt. Final 5-1 Rebels. Scoring for the Rebels was Owen with 3 and Brandon and Branson adding 1 each. Assists went to Alex, Cody and Reid.
The Rebels hosted the West Grey on Tuesday night and defeated the Warriors 5-0. Mitch and Branson both scored twice while Carson scored a beauty breakaway goal. Adding assists were Owen (2), Brett, Mitch, Jason, Mason, Tyson and Ty. Ty was solid between the pipes to earn the shutout.
Next playoff action for the Bantams is Sunday night in Hanover.
