Lakers Upend Rebels in Game 4
The Shallow Lake Lakers defeated the Air Tech Mechanical Bantam Rebels 3-1 in game 4 to take a 5 points to 3 lead in the 6 point OMHA playdown series.
The Lakers opened the scoring on the powerplay 2:55 into the game when Zac Taylor found the back of the Rebel net. Alex Ryan extended the Laker lead to 2 just 52 seconds into the second period. The Rebels answered back just 7 seconds later when Alex Knights scored, assisted by Carson and Cody. Ryan restored the Laker 2 goal lead before the second period intermission. The Rebels came out strong in the third period but couldn't catch a break as the Laker goalkeeper turned away numerous shots.
The Rebels need a win in Game 5, Thursday night in Shallow Lake, to extend their OMHA series. Dig Deep Rebels!!
