Lakers Even Series
The Shallow Lake Lakers took 3 of 4 points on home ice to even the Bantam DD OMHA playoff series at 3 points apiece.
Game 2 between the Rebels and Lakers ended in a 2-2 tie. Owen (from Branson) and Mason (from Cody), scored second period goals to put the Rebels up by 2 heading into the 3rd. The Lakers got within 1 with 8:05 remaining on a Luke Grimoldby goal. The Rebels hung onto the 1 goal lead until Grimoldby scored on the powerplay with 40 seconds. Neither team was able to find the back of the net in OT.
Game 3 saw the Rebels score first again when Branson found a loose puck and put it behid the Lakers tender. The Lakers battled back with Terran Hooey scoring twice in the first 41 seconds of the second period. Austin Trask and Grimoldby added third period goals for the Lakers before Mason (from Cody) added a late goal to get the Rebels to within 2. The ended with the Lakers taking a 4-2 win.
Game 4 will be in Chatty on Tuesday night at 7 pm.
