Howell Transport U15 Rebels hosted the Bruce Peninsula Northstars at the Markdale Arena on November 7th.
After a tough loss, the Rebels had their sights set on a win. In the first period the Northstars quickly scored 2 goals and the Rebels (Finlay Johnston) put up 1, making the score at 2-1 at the end of the 1st period.
The second period started with a bang when (32)Jake Oat tied the game up with the help of (27)Neil Gilchrist. Then (22)Jhett McKee pulled the rebels ahead with the assist of (24)Easton Croft before the Northstars tied the game up again. After that, (21)Colton Klages made the score 4-3 with the help of (27)Neil Gilchrist. The Rebels had the lead going into the 3rd and weren’t about to lose it.
After a quick flood the Rebels were ready to finish this game and come out on top and that’s just what they did. (21)Colton Klages scored his second goal of the game before the period was over putting the score to 5-3. The Rebels controlled the puck for the rest of the period and before they knew it the game was over.
With a 5-3 win the Rebels are getting ready for their next game and are looking forward to coming out on top once again.
