The Rebels faced off against the Arran Elderslie Ice Dogs in the Chesley Arena on February 11th.
After some hard losses, the Rebels were ready for a win and were set on making this the game.
After a quick first period, the score was 0-0.
In the second period, the Rebels worked hard as a team but the Ice Dogs managed to get the first goal of the game and made the score 1-0. Instead of rattling the Rebels, it just made them more focused on a win.
Thanks to this dedication, the Rebels were set on turning things around in the 3rd, and they did just that. During a power play (#11)Kody Cook scored the first goal for the Rebels. Not long after that, (#3)Neil Gilchrist pulled the rebels ahead with assists from (#12)Finlay Johnson and (#4)Jhett McKee. Then, with less than 15 seconds left in the game, (#3)Neil Gilchrist scored an unassisted goal which secured the win for the Rebels.
The Rebels played a great game and never gave up even when they were down a goal. After that win, they’re ready for the next and can’t wait to face the Ice Dogs again.
