Rebels End Regular Season with a W, a Hat-trick and a Shutout.
The Township of Chatsworth and District, Moggie Vally Timber Inc., Midget Rep Rebels faced the Huron Bruce Blizzards for their final game of the season and the Rebels came away with one final regular season win and a hattie for Hunter Schultz and a shutout for Lawson Cumming.

The Rebels came out hard and fast with 2 quick goals to start the game.  In the first shift, Brandon Stewart scored to start the game (assist to Jake Moran) and less than a minute later, the Rebels struck again as Hunter Schultz scored with the help of Jordan Beirnes.
Despite the hard push at the beginning, things then slowed down a bit.  There were a few opportunities at both end of the ice and Rebel goalie Lawson Cumming had to be sharp to keep the Blizzards from closing the gap.
It was well into the second period when Rebels finally got back onto the scoreboard when Hunter Schultz did it all on his own to increase the Rebels lead to 3.  In the final 2 minutes of the second, Moran was all alone at the top of the circle and banged one by the Blizzards net minder and Dalan Frook came round the net and put one on the stick of Jay Rourke who made no mistake as he buried the puck to increase the Rebels lead to 5 - 0 heading into the 3rd.
Early in the third, Schultz to Wyatt Golem who fired one with the rebound right to Calvin Stewart who had it in the net before the goalie could respond.
Just past the mid-point of the third, Schultz went down the ice and completed the hat-trick to give the Rebels a 7 - 0 lead.  Then, it seemed to be all about the shut out.  The Blizzards put on an extra burst to try to get one goal before the game ended. The Rebels struggled to contain this new burst of life as the Blizzards continued to push right up to the final second.  Lawson Cumming came away with a shut out to end the regular season and the Rebels, along with the rest of the league, now have a few days to regroup as the powers that be sort out who plays whom in the OMHA and WOAA playoffs.
