It wasn't pretty...
The Township of Chatsworth and District, Moggie Valley Timber Inc., Midget Rep Rebels, were in Mount Forest to face the number 1 ranked team in the division on their home ice.

The Rebels have been plagued with injuries and illness and took to the ice down a full line.  Rebels scrambled from the get go.  Much of the game was in the Rebels end of the ice and Rebel goalie Lawson Cumming was forced to get creative as he sprawled and dove and pretty much stood on his head to keep the Rebels net clear.
The Rams continued to batter the Rebels goalie for much of the first period and into the second with the Rebels successfully keeping the score tied at 0 - 0.  Finally, after a number of missed opportunities and goal posts, the Rams scored two by the midpoint of the second.
As the period wound down, Rebels fought their way into the Mount Forest end.  Hard struggles in the corner led to a jumble in front of the Ram goal.  As the puck bounced off one player and rolled down the arm of another, Brandon Stewart managed to bat it out of the air and by the Ram goalie to cut the Ram lead in half.
The momentum continued into the third when the opening face off led to Wyatt Golem passing to Stewart who scored goal number 2, thirteen seconds into the period.  Tie game 2 - 2.
Mount Forest continued to throw everything they had at the Rebel net and the Rebels had a couple of chances of their own, but the score remained tied as the time left in the period ticked away.  With less than a minute left the Rebels were again under pressure.  The puck sailed down the ice to relieve the pressure.  The ref's hand was up.   "Icing"!  But Golem pulled away from the pack and, full out on the fly, corralled the puck millimeters from the goal line.  A quick move around the net and the puck was on the stick of Austin McComb who made no mistake and one-timed it by the Ram goalie.  Rebels took the lead with only 50.4 seconds left in the game.
Rams pulled their goalie and headed straight into the Rebels end off the face off.  Time seemed to stand still as the Rams charged the Rebels goal and desperation on both sides had bodies everywhere but the seconds ticked like minutes for Rebels players, staff and fans.  Finally, with only a couple seconds left, Rebels got it down the ice to relieve the pressure and the final horn sounded with Rebels in the lead 3 - 2.  Rebels get the W even if it wasn't pretty.
Rebels take to the ice Sunday afternoon at 2 pm in Markdale versus the Walkerton Capitals.
Let's Go Rebels!!!
