Midget Rep Come Close
The Township of Chatsworth and District, Moggie Valley Timber, Midget Rep Rebels faced some stiff competition in the Norwood Tournament where they fought their way to the semi-finals.

Rebels faced off against the hometown Hornets in game one of their tournament.  With limited game experience thus far this season and less than a full roster, the Rebels started out a little tentative but they soon pulled it together and took the lead when Mason Hanna buried the puck behind the Norwood netminder with assist to Hunter Schultz.
The Rebels battled to hold onto this one goal lead with chances at both ends of the ice.  Finally near the end of the 3rd, the Hornets pulled their goalie and were pushing hard to put one into the Rebel net. In an effort to relieve the pressure Clay Kreuger fired the puck off the boards and down the ice and directly into the Hornets goal.  2 - 0 Rebels with just over 40 seconds left to play.  With the insurance goal under their belts, the Rebels held on to finish the game 2 - 0.  Shut out for Lawson Cumming!
Game  #2 saw TCDHMA face off against the Stirling Blues. This was a hard fought game.  Neither team was able to score, though there were chances at both ends of the ice.  Finally, the Rebels managed to get on the scoreboard when Hanna once again found the back of the net on a pass from Jordon Beirnes.  The Rebels struggled hard to keep the lead and to extend it, but it was the Blues who managed the only other goal of the match when they scored to tie the game at the mid point of the third. With no overtime during round robin play, the Rebels finished with a win and a tie.  As the tournament ran on a points system, the Rebels waited for all the teams to finish before finding out their next move.  It looked like they would be finishing first overall, but, when everything was tallied they had actually finished a close second.
Since the top 3 teams had a bye to semi final play the Rebels found themselves facing off against the Parry Sound Shamrocks with the winner heading to the Championship game and the loser heading home.  The Rebels struggled and goalie Lawson Cumming had to work hard to hold them in the game.  Jordon Beirnes assisted as Brandon Stewart found the back of the Shamrock net to give the Rebels a 1 - 0 lead.  Parry Sound didn't give up and kept coming and coming.  The Rebels fought hard, but the Shamrocks evened the score at the mid point of the second.  The Rebels struggled to keep their tempers and stay out of the penalty box but they did manage to take the game into overtime.  Unfortunately, the Shamrocks scored with a little over a minute left in the overtime to end the game and the Rebels chances of advancing to the final.
They Rebels played well and look ready for the back to back games ahead. Rebels are in Wingham for a rematch against the Ironmen at 8:30 on Thursday and then they are in Ripley to face off against the Huron-Bruce Blizzards at 8 pm Friday.  Let's Go Rebels!!!
