A WIN and a Tie for the Xtreme Heating Peewee C Rebel Girls
The Xtreme Heating Peewee C Rebel girls have had a few exhibition games in order to prepare for their year end tournament this weekend in Lucknow. They had a great home and home exhibition series against Mount Forest HL. Last night in Keady they also hosted the Saugeen Shores squad.

We hosted them on Feb. 28th in Keady with a 3-3 tie as a result. Jayden Thalen got us on the board early in the first when she carried the puck up unassisted and scored. Mount Forest answered back to tie it up.

Lyndsay Cumming scored late in the 2nd assisted by Jayden Thalen and defence Makaleyn Moore. Jaclyn Beirnes made some great saves and Jayden Thalen scored again to give the Rebels the 2 goal lead. Jayden's goal was assisted by Lyndsay Cumming and defence Cecily Mallette. Unfortunately, Mount Forest was able to get two goals past the Rebels for a 3-3 final.

They hosted us in Mount Forest on Sunday March 12th. Despite the strong competition the Rebels defeated them 2-0! Jaclyn Beirnes got the shut out! Lyndsay Cumming scored both goals for the Rebels. Her first goal was assisted by Jayden Thalen and Emma Frook. Her second goal was assisted by Emma Frook.

Last night in Keady the girls played an exciting game against the Saugeen Shores HL team.  The Rebels got off to a slow start and the Saugeen girls went up 2-0 on them in the first period. Jayden Thalen scored in the second to make it 2-1.  Her goal was assisted by Natalie Mole.  Saugeen Shores continued to make it exciting by scoring again.  In the third Lyndsay Cumming added another point closing the gap to one goal again.  Her goal was assisted by Makaleyn Moore. Saugeen Shores scored once more to make it 4-2. The Rebels were determined and pulled their goalie Jaclyn Beirnes in order to put the extra player out.  The girls played hard and Emma Frook was able to score with only 26 seconds left!  Her goal was assisted by Natalie Mole and Cecily Mallette.  Close one ladies!

Way to go girls!! Good luck in Lucknow this weekend in the WOAA year end tournament.
