Peewee Girls Hard Work Pays off!
The TCDMHA Xtreme Heating Rebel C Girls had a great game against Lucknow on
Saturday afternoon in Keady. Although it was a 5-2 loss the girls left it all
out there! Their hard work is paying off as they are closing the gap on many teams and scoring more goals. The girls are really thankful to their hardworking coaches and bench staff for all the time they have devoted to them.
Jaclyn Beirnes made countless saves keeping the 86er's to only three goals in the first two periods. Throughout the game she faced 61 shots!!
In the 3rd, Lyndsay Cumming drove to the net and her and Sophie Perry and Zoe Schriek kept digging to give Lyndsay a goal and Sophie an assist! It was a 3-1 game!
Lucknow scored again and then Jamie Norman carried the puck up and scored to make it 4-2.
In the last minutes of the 3rd Jaclyn saved the shot and lost her stick, saved the rebound without it and finally they scored on the third shot. It was a 5-2 final.
On Sunday the Rebels travelled to Markdale to face the Shooting Stars C Girls.
The first period was hard paced and Markdale was able to get two goals by us. Jaclyn Beirnes made lots of great saves. In the second period the Rebel girls held them off and it remained 2-0. Markdale was able to get 2 more goals on them before Jamie Norman fired a shot at the net and scored!! Jayden Thalen got the assist.
The final score was 5-1.
