The Chatsworth Xtreme Heating Peewee C Girls had another busy weekend of hockey.
They played Kincardine on Saturday in Keady and tied 2-2. The first period
remained scoreless as both teams battled back and forth. Rebels goalie
Jaclyn
Beirnes made many great saves.
Jayden Thalen scored the first goal unassisted by carrying it in on her own. The Rebels were in the lead! The Kincardine girls tied it up later in the second.
The Rebels were determined though and took the lead again scoring in the third. Jamie Norman shot it in from the point and Natalie Mole tipped it in. Lyndsay Cumming also assisted.
The girls were hoping for the win but unfortunately Kincardine was able to get one by Jaclyn and tied it up. The game ended in a 2-2 tie.
Following the game the girls had a great time at the Norman's for a potluck and sleigh ride.
Jamie's Grandpa from Dual Acres Sleigh rides took all the girls on a ride through the bush.
These are two of the horses, Dock and Duke, on their Christmas sleigh ride that took us out.
On Sunday the girls played Saugeen Shores at the PLEX in Port Elgin. They held them for two periods allowing only 2 goals. Unfortunately in the 3rd the Rebels lost steam. The final score was 9-0 for Saugeen Shores.
Good luck this Sunday in Lucknow!!
