The Jennifer Tedford Remax Midget Girls "C" team travelled to Markdale this afternoon hoping for the same result as yesterday's match up with the Shooting Stars.
Once again the Rebels defence was quick to keep the puck out of our end. Early in the first, Grace Kuhl popped one in so gracefully no one realized she had scored! After about a :30second delay and the referee finding the puck in the back of the net we cheered our first goal of the night.
The second period brought on a lot of action for the Grey Highlands goalie as she took over 14 shots from the Rebels this period, and when you keep shooting, you eventually score! Peyton McCauley added our 2nd goal with a beauty slap shot. Two minutes later, Sarah Bryans positioned herself perfectly to the side and with a quick shot she scored our 3rd goal.
The Shooting Stars weren't going down easy trying to get on the board but Ceaira Hiemstra stopped every chance they had earning her 3rd shut out win in a row! Way to go team! Let's keep this roll going as we travel to Walkerton Tuesday night.
