The Jennifer Tedford Remax Midget girls C team had back to back shut out wins to end their regular season!
After numerous snow cancellations this season, the Rebels and Storm were scheduled to meet this week with home and away games.
Tuesday night took place in Southampton and both goalies had a busy night in net. Grace Kuhl scored first (unassisted) for the Rebels in the 1st period.
The 2nd period was scoreless but a great job by both goalies making many saves keeping the game close. Early in the 3rd Lillian Harshman's pass to Kuhl gave us a 2-0 lead. Two minutes later Brittany Batterman scored our 3rd goal. Saugeen Shores kept at us but Ceaira Hiemstra shut them out and we win this 3-0!
The Storm travelled to Chatsworth Wednesday night ahead of the freezing rain looking to even the score. Brittany Batterman started off the scoring mid way through the 1st. One minute later Grace Kuhl scored our 2nd with the assist going to Skyler Golem. Twenty seconds later they switched spots and Golem scored with Kuhl's assist.
The Rebels 4th goal came in the 2nd period from Renee Farrow (another assist by Kuhl). Before the 2nd ended, Farrow assist's Golem to make it 5-0 at the end of the 2nd.
The 3rd period was the busiest of the all with Golem scoring again from a pass from Astelle Wardell, then again with assists going to Farrow and Mikkayla Longland. Coleen McNabb scored the 8th goal with help from Maddie Thompson. Kuhl wasn't done yet as she knocked in the 9th goal with Golem assisting. Wow - what a way to end the season!
