BUSY WEEKEND OF HOCKEY
The ScotiaBank Bantam HL Girls had a busy weekend of hockey.

Their first game was in Chatty on Saturday against the Walkerton Capitals C team.  Walkerton was first on the board in the first period but in the second period the Rebels evened the score with Sara power, Sara Boulter found the back of the net assisted by Sarah Madill.  But Walkerton answered with a goal of their own now making the score 2-1.  In the third period Walkerton scored again making it a 3-1 game and that's where the score stayed.  Walkerton took the win but they had to work for it.

On Sunday the ScotiaBank Bantams travelled to Tiverton to play the Kinucks.  Even though the game started a little late and the girls where a little slow getting started, they played a great game!  Jadzia Leask was on her game between the pipes, she made a huge amount of saves! In period one, nobody was able to get on the scoreboard but in the second the Kinucks scored twice.  After a flood and small dance party in the change room, period 3 was scoreless as well.  Kincardine  may have won the game but our Rebels played awesome.

Their next game is on Valentines Day in Mount Forest to battle with the Rams.

Happy Valentines Day from the ScotiaBank Girls!!!

The Community Hockey Sponsorship program has always been Scotiabank’s way of showing our commitment to kids’ hockey, a sport which unifies our nation, community by community. That’s why each of our more than 1,000 branches financially supports a local hockey team, league or association in their community. We know that being part of a team gives children more than just a chance to play, but also a chance to become involved in their community. That’s why we’re encouraging our branch staff and sponsored teams to donate their time – the equivalent to one practice – towards making a positive impact in their community. By inspiring and participating in volunteer initiatives, we’re committed to help communities get stronger together, like a team. Because that’s what Canada is all about. Throughout the year we’ll be recognizing and celebrating teams across the country with unique hockey experiences like visits from NHL Alumni or the Stanley Cup!
