A Battle to a Draw in Mount Forest
On Sunday November 15th the Scotiabank Bantam HL Girls were on the road in Mount Forest.  Those in attendance were treated to a great evening of hockey.

Period one was full of great opportunities on both sides. The Rebels were quick to take the advantage.  Kyla Thalen with a little help from Brooklyn Mole made it 1-0 Rebels at the eight minute mark.  This was the only goal either side would score before the period was over.

Period two had some high intensity hockey.  The Rams working hard to try and even the score.  After 10 minutes of battling for chances the Rams evened the score.

Throughout all of period three both teams continued to try to find that elusive scoring opportunity.  None were to be found.  Final score 1-1.

The Community Hockey Sponsorship program has always been Scotiabank’s way of showing our commitment to kids’ hockey, a sport which unifies our nation, community by community. That’s why each of our more than 1,000 branches financially supports a local hockey team, league or association in their community. We know that being part of a team gives children more than just a chance to play, but also a chance to become involved in their community. That’s why we’re encouraging our branch staff and sponsored teams to donate their time – the equivalent to one practice – towards making a positive impact in their community. By inspiring and participating in volunteer initiatives, we’re committed to help communities get stronger together, like a team. Because that’s what Canada is all about. Throughout the year we’ll be recognizing and celebrating teams across the country with unique hockey experiences like visits from NHL Alumni or the Stanley Cup!
