Another Good One for the Scotiabank HL Bantam Girls
The Scotiabank HL Bantam Girls played a great game against the Kincardine Kinucks on Saturday morning in Chatsworth.

The first period was a fantastic standoff of back and forth hockey. Both teams with plenty of scoring chances.  But the goaltenders were not giving anything away.

Period two was a different story.  Both teams still getting plenty of chances, however the Kinucks were pushing harder at the Rebels.  B. MacAurthur with an assist from C. page and A. Perrier was the first to score for the Kinucks at 10:42 in the second.  The Rebels defense worked hard to clear their end but the Kinucks would score twice more before the end of the second.  Despite the many saves by Rebels Goaltender Jadzia Leask

You could see the girls were tiring during period three.  There were fewer shots on net, and everyone seemed to be finding the slick spots on the ice.  Despite their efforts the Rebels could not manage to score during the third period.  The Kinucks however did not have that problem.  Racking the score up to 6-0 before the end of the game.

Despite the score it was still a great game.  Lots of fun to watch.  The Scotiabank HL Bantam Girls take on the Rams in Mount Forest tomorrow afternoon.  Go Rebels!

ScotiaBank
The Community Hockey Sponsorship program has always been Scotiabank’s way of showing our commitment to kids’ hockey, a sport which unifies our nation, community by community. That’s why each of our more than 1,000 branches financially supports a local hockey team, league or association in their community. We know that being part of a team gives children more than just a chance to play, but also a chance to become involved in their community. That’s why we’re encouraging our branch staff and sponsored teams to donate their time – the equivalent to one practice – towards making a positive impact in their community. By inspiring and participating in volunteer initiatives, we’re committed to help communities get stronger together, like a team. Because that’s what Canada is all about. Throughout the year we’ll be recognizing and celebrating teams across the country with unique hockey experiences like visits from NHL Alumni or the Stanley Cup!
