SILVERSTICK CHAMPS WEEKEND SUMMARY!!
The `TCDMHA Chatsworth Legion PeeWee C Rebels` had an AWESOME weekend at the Saugeen Shores Caitlyn Cobean Silverstick and came home with the banner, here is a summary of the GREAT weekend that we had!!

Game 1 was played on Friday against the Bluewater Hawks!  The lady Rebels came out a bit slow but once on the ice they were back in the grove and before we knew it Kloey Jex put one in the net (Jamie Gilchrist assisted). Not long into the second period it was the Jex and Gilchrist team with another goal.  The third was busy with the team adding 3 more goals to the game sheet scorers were Jessica Davidson from the point unassisted, Tara Meikle assisted by Jex and Meghan Prentice unassisted.  First win of the tournament with a score of 5-0 and a SHUT-OUT for Grace Vokes!

Game 2 found us paired up against the local Kincardine team.  The girls never change their game and were consistent and strong from start to finish once again.  First to score this game was another beauty from Jessica Davidson unassisted as she has a powerful shot from the blue line!! Goal number 2 was top shelf from Tara Meikle assisted by Davidson goal 3 and 4 were scored by our Mighty Meghan Prentice assisted by Jamie Gilchrist and Kloey Jex this ended the game with a win of 4-0 for the Rebels and SHUT-OUT number 2 for Grace Vokes.

After a good night’s sleep and some fun at the Hockey Day in Canada the girls played later on Saturday evening in Paisley against The Kemptvill Storm.  The girls once again played strong and hard and never backed down and that resulted in another win of 6-0.  The goal scores for this game were goal 1 to Emma MacDonnell (Tara Meikle) goal 2 was from Abby Vokes (Jessica Davidson) goal 3 went to Jessica Davidson another unassisted goal 4 as Summer Roney (Emma MacDonnell) goal 5 was Kloey Jex  from Georgia Rutter and last but not least was goal 6 from Tara Meikle with Emily Meuser getting the assist and SHUT-OUT Number 3 for Grace!  The girls were off to bed to as now they played in the Semi-Final Sunday Morning against Mitchell!!

The girls came to the rink ready to play and wide awake parents not as awake as we all needed some coffee!! It wasn’t long until the scoring started with Jamie Gilchrest sneaking one in the net assisted by Meghan Prentice.  Abby Vokes was on a roll getting 3 more in a row assisted by Georgia Rutter and Tara Meikle and one unassisted on a break away!!  Brook Farrow, Summer Roney and Tara Meikle got the next three goals of the game and Grace was able to keep the net clean yet again and stopped a few break aways to get her 4th SHUT-OUT of the tournament and now they girls were off to the final!

The final was against East Lambton! The girls were pumped as always with the music going and the singing started in the change room we all knew that the girls were ready to play.  They never seem to be nervous and they have such amazing team spirit, they went out onto the ice and never missed a beat!! Abby Vokes was the first to score unassisted to give the Rebels the lead, Emma MacDonnell assisted by Abby Vokes for the second goal. Tara Meikle was able to sink one in the net assisted by Brooke Farrow and Georgia Rutter finished the game up with a goal assisted by Kloey Jex! Once again Grace Vokes kept the net clean and earned her 5th SHUT-OUT of the tournament to end the tournament with perfect goals for record, 26 goals for 0 against.     team4.jpg   team3.jpgteam2.jpg

We would like to thank the fans that came out to cheer the Rebels on as the support is great to have from other friends and family of the association.  The girls on this team are very appreciative for all of the success that they are having! They are hardworking individuals and are so supportive of each other and with a great bench staff behind them and great families supporting them they are having a great year.  Thank you Lady Rebels for once again a wonderful and exciting weekend that you have given all of us!
