BRAMPTON CANADETTES CHAMPS!!
The Chatsworth Legion PeeWee C Rebels had a fun filled Easter weekend that ended in a Championship Win!!

The Girls were off to Participate in the Brampton Tournament this weekend and we started off with some icy conditions and some hurdles with Hydro outages at home for our Fridays game against Kitchener Lady Rangers but despite the problems the girls came to play.  Abby Vokes was the first to start the scoring with goal assisted by Summer Roney. That was it for scoring in the first but then in the second Kloey Jex was able to net a beauty un-assisted!  Not long after Summer Roney netted one of her own assisted by Abby Vokes.  Grace Vokes earned the Shut-out! This was it for Friday the girls were then off to the hotel for a swim and a team dinner.

Game 2 found the girls playing against the Grand River Mustangs!  The first was a busy period with 4 goals being scored. Georiga Rutter was the first to score assisted by Abby Vokes next was Meghan Prentice assisted by Brooke Farrow, goal 3 and 4 went to Abby Vokes assist were awarded to Tara Meikle and Summer Roney.  The girls got another goal  in the second by Abby Vokes  assisted by Brooke Farrow.  The ladies were not done yet as they got another 2 goals  in the third goals were scored by Emma MacDonnell assisted by Kloey Jex and Abby Vokes un-assisted.  Final score was 7-0 for the Rebels and Grace Vokes earned shut out number 2 of the tournament

Game 3 was an intense and challenging game for the girls against the Hurst Ice Cats!  The game was a hard one but the Ladies were able to come out with the win of 1-0.  The single goal was scored in the first from the blue line by Emily Meuser and from that time on the girls had to fight to keep the lead but they did it!!  Grace Vokes was able to keep the net clean to get the shut-out!

This put the Girls in the Championship game on Sunday and to be faced up with Kitchener Lady Rangers again.

The Rangers were the first to score in the game but it wasn't long after that Meghan Prentice was able to tie it up the game with assist going to Kloey Jex.  Before the first was over Summer Roney was able to get a goal assisted by Tara Meikle that gave the Rebels the lead.  There was a lot of back and fourth play which ended the second being scoreless.  The third was a fast one as Kitchener was trying to tie it up but then Jamie Gilchrist got a goal assisted by Brooke Farrow to give the team a 2 goal lead.  Kitchener called their timeout and pulled their goalie and they were not about to back down! Grace Vokes was able to keep the net clean and Tara Meikle was able to get an empty net goal the seal the win of 4-1 for the Championship!

Thanks once again to this team they have been playing hard and committing to their team and they are having a great season and are now counting down to Provincials.
