Sweet Win for the Atom C Rebel Girls!
The Chatsworth "Desboro Lion's Club" Rebels faced Bruce Peninsula on Sat in Wiarton in an exciting, close match up.

Bruce Peninsula started the scoring early in the first sneaking one past goalie Allison Hoy. The Rebels battled back and were able to even things up with a goal from Lyndsay Cumming, assisted by Jaclyn Beirnes and Cecily Mallette. With only seconds remaining in the first period the Rebels got the go ahead goal. Cecily Mallette passed it up from the blue line to Lyndsay Cumming, who passed it over to Claire Vokes who scored to make it 2-1.

In the second period the play went back and forth and both goalies made important saves. In the third period Bruce Peninsula tied it up. The Rebels kept digging and Claire Vokes lifted the puck into the top right corner to make it 3-2 for the Rebels. Her goal was assisted by Natalie Mole and Cecily Mallette.

Good luck with your play down games this week girls!
