Atom Girls Ready for Playdowns!
The Atom C Rebel girls defeated Walkerton tonight 4-1 in Desboro.  They have one more of their 20 WOAA league games to play before they will start playdowns next Tuesday Feb. 16th against Walkerton.

Walkerton started out strong and scored a quick goal less than a minute into the first period. The rest of the first period the Rebels dug hard but could not tie it up.  Finally, their hard work persevered and Lyndsay Cumming buried the tying goal into the back of the net, assisted by Claire Vokes and Emma Frook.  Then, less than two minutes later, Lyndsay scored again, giving the Rebels the go ahead goal. Her second goal was assisted by Natalie Mole from the point.  Jolie McKnight scored the third goal of the second period giving the Rebels some insurance and making it 3-1.  Her goal was assisted by Natalie Madill.  The Rebels weren't done yet though and Natalie Madill scored assisted by Jolie McKnight and Claire Vokes.

The girls will begin a six game playdown series next Tuesday night in Walkerton.  The top three teams of TCDMHA, Walkerton, Markdale, Saugeen Shores, Kincardine and Bruce Peninsula will go to the OWHA Provincial Championships in Toronto April 8th to the 10th.
