Every Rebel on the Game Sheet and a First Goal for Frook!
The Rebels put forth a great team effort on Sat morning defeating West Grey 5-0. Allison Hoy got the shut out. The "Desboro Lion's Club" Atoms played two games this weekend. They also played Kincardine HL on Sunday and defeated them 9-1 resulting in every Rebel making it onto the game sheet with either a goal or an assist. Way to go girls!
Emma Frook got her first goal ever off of a pass from Claire Vokes and Cecily Mallette. All the girls are so proud of her! Natalie Madill got the second goal assisted by Jolie McKnight. Despite many shots the West Grey goalie played very well and held it to 2-0 in the first period.
Claire Vokes got the third goal, assisted from the point by Cecily Mallette. Lyndsay Cumming put the fourth goal in, assisted by Claire Vokes and Emma Frook to make it 4-0 at the end of the 2nd period.
Claire Vokes scored the final marker of the night again assisted by Emma Frook. What a game for Emma, who just started playing hockey in November!!
On Sunday the girls and their parents drove to Tiverton and braved the storm watch and snow fall warning. Although the drive home was a bit treacherous it was worth it as the girls won 9-1! In the first period Kincardine caught us a little off guard and got a break away scoring on Allison Hoy. After that it was all Rebels!
