Novice LL #1 Continues to Work Hard and it pays off on the Scoreboard!
The Desboro Tire Novices hosted Shallow Lake #2 on Sunday and came away with a big 5-2 win.
After a scoreless first period the Lakers opened the scoring early in the second. Rebels forward Jackson Gordon answered back with a natural hat trick and the Rebels found themselves up 3-1. Late in the second Shallow Lake would find the back of the net and bring the score to within one again. Tight defence and phenomenal goaltending made it an edge-of-your-seat game! Carter Frook sealed the deal with 27 seconds on the clock, but the Rebels still weren't done. These players battle to the final buzzer and Neil Gilchrist was awarded with a goal 18 seconds later! Also finding their names on the game sheet with assists were Gilchrist, Frook and Ashton Spencer. From beginning to end 3 fantastic periods of hockey. Great effort Rebels!
