The Township of Chatsworth Xtreme Heating Peewee LL #1 had a
weekend of wins!
On Saturday the Township of Chatsworth Xtreme Heating Peewee
LL #1 hit the road and travelled to Ayton to face off against the West Grey
Warriors. The Rebels defeated the Warriors 4-0.
There were end to end plays in the first period. With six minutes left Wyatt Golem took a pass from Jack Kivell and scored the first goal of the game.
The second period resulted with one more goal net by Charlie Scott. The assists went to Wyatt Golem and Liam Harrison.
Two more goals were scored in the third period. Wesley Houston scored with the assist going to Clayton Kreuger. Clayton Kreuger scored the final goal of the game with the assist going to Curtis Wade.
The Warriors were unable to get the puck passed Rebels goaltender Jason Rudolph-MacLeod earning him a shut out!
On Sunday the Rebels hosted the Mount Forest Rams. The last game against the Rams the Rebels were unable to come out on top, but they were not going to let it happen this time. The Rebels came out on top this time 6-3.
This game was action packed from start to finish. Mount Forest were the first to score a goal with eight minutes left in the first period. Rebels Curtis Wade scored soon after with the assists going to Clayton Kreuger and Talmon Ash.
The Rams scored two minutes into the second period. With some great team work and strong defence, that was the only goal the Rams were able to net in the second period, but not for the Rebels. With two minutes left Clayton Kreuger took a quick pass from Curtis Wade and put the puck in the Rams net. One minute remaining in the second period, Wyatt Golem took a hard shot on the Rams goalie netting another goal. The assists went to Clayton Kreuger and Talmon Ash.
At 12:32 in the third period Wyatt Golem took a strong pass from Lorenzo Pedro and shot the puck into the back of the net. The Rams had a quick follow netting their final goal of the game. With nine minutes left Charlie Scott assisted Jack Kivell in a swift goal. The final goal of the game was scored by Wyatt Golem with the assist going to Charlie Scott.
Our boys played two strong games this weekend. Way to go Rebels!
The Rebels will be heading off to playoffs………..
