STEPHENSON records her 22nd SHUT-OUT of the season
In their final league game of the season, The CHATSWORTH ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION Branch 464 PeeWee C REBELS defeated the Mount Forest Rams by a score of 4 - 0, to secure a 1st place finish in the league.

Ashlynn Stephenson earned her 12th league SHUT-OUT tonight ... but her 22nd overall shut-out, including tournaments this 2014-15 season (and there is still the WOAA Year End Tournament and the OWHA Provincials to come).

A strong, defensive Mount Forest team came to Keady tonight for a very evenly matched game.  They were intercepting passes and blocking many of our shots on their net, which kept our REBELS off the scoreboard.
Tristin Brown finally found the back of their net with the help of Jade Gilchrist and Reese Wilkins for the lone goal of the 1st period at 2:54.
The action went end to end until the final minute of the 2nd when Abby (the Birthday Girl) Vokes got a pass back to the point for Jessica Davidson.  She fired at the net and Emily Meuser picked up the rebound to end the period 2 - 0.
To start the 3rd, Ashlynn Stephenson got a hold of the puck and passed it out to Abby, who skated it right down and fired high into the Rams net.
Midway through the period, Jessica made a cross ice pass to Morgan Moran who was ready with a shot from the point.  The goalie made the save, but Jamie Gilchrist was right there to grab the rebound.

The girls and coaches (and parents while we're at it) are heading into March Break for a well deserved rest.
