2015 WOAA PeeWee 'C' CHAMPIONS
With 3 Straight SHUT-OUT Wins ... THE CHATSWORTH ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION Branch 464 REBELS are the 2015 WOAA PEEWEE 'C' Maroon Division CHAMPIONS.

The girls earned their way into Sunday's Maroon Division Championship game with a 4 - 0 Win over Mount Forest on Saturday night.  The game was fast paced, a little rough and a whole lot more even than the score reflected.

1st period ... Abby Vokes
picked up a pass from Reese Wilkins, skated down and fired the puck into the net for the only goal of the 1st period.
2nd period ... Midway through the 2nd, Morgan Moran got the puck to Tristin Brown who sailed in for a short handed goal ... and
Jessica Davidson made a cross ice pass to Reese who fired at the net, but it was Abby who snuck in the rebound at 0:11.
3rd period ... Tristin poked in the only goal of the 3rd in the final 2 minutes, assisted by Emily Meuser and Jamie Gilchrist.
SHUT-OUT # 24 For Ashlynn Stephenson.

Onto the FINALS vs South Bruce.  You could cut the tension with a knife as these two evenly matched teams hit the ice.  Their previous meetings had gone either way, so it was all down to this game to determine the Final Champion.
1st period ... Emily and Jess got Tristin the puck and she carried it into Otters territory and fired right at their goalie.  The puck dropped free and Tristin knocked in her own rebound to take the lead at 7:46.
2nd period ... The shots were firing at both ends of the ice, but it wasn't until 2:29 that a pass from Jade to Abby found Reese ready at the net for goal # 2.  Finally the anxious REBELS fans could start to breath a bit easier.
3rd period ...  Was more of the same end to end action with our 9 Rebels keeping the pressure on South Bruce's 13 skaters.  Abby sent a perfect pass to Reese who found the net again with a beauty goal at 12:22, assist to Jess from the point.
Switching it around this time, Reese carried the puck in and passed to Abby for the 4th and final goal of the game at 7:30.  The girls held off the Otters for the remainder of the period and Ashlynn EARNED her 25th SHUT-OUT of the season, stopping at least 2 (VERY memorable) breakaways and making many other flawless saves in our REBELS net!
FINAL SCORE 4 - 0.

The girls have worked hard, given their all EVERY game of the season and DESERVE to be where they are.
They move onto the 2015 OWHA Provincial Championships in Toronto on April 10th with an amazing record behind them.
