Big WIN in Wingham
The CHATSWORTH ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION Branch 464 PeeWee 'C' REBELS travelled to Wingham on Saturday to face the Lucknow 86'ers ... and came home with a 5 - 0 Shut Out Win.

As she does so well ... Tristin Brown got the REBELS started in the 1st period, going end to end and burying the puck at 5:15.
Jade Gilchrist scored just 4 seconds later on a pass from Reese Wilkins (and Abby Vokes from the faceoff).
It wasn't until midway through the 2nd that Tristin got a breakaway and scored again at 5:39.
Morgan Moran followed 30 seconds later with a hard shot from the point (assist and nice screening from Abby).  Abby finished off the rush with one of her own at 4:17.
The girls swapped Forward and Defence positions for the 3rd period and in the experiment found that they really do prefer (and excel at) their own better.
No goals were scored for and none against, but the 86'ers did get a handful of scoring opportunities on our net.  Ashlynn Stephenson was ready and denied them all, earning her shut out!

The girls play their final 2 home games this week vs West Grey on Monday and Mount Forest on Tuesday.
GO REBELS GO!

(Great text reporting Carrie, it was just like I was there to see it.)

Royal Canadian Legion Chatsworth Branch 464 As important as our support of veterans and their dependants is to Legion, Ontario Command and its branch members find the time and energy to make significant contributions to our communities. Branches support other community based organizations financially, using funds raised through clubhouse operations, bingos, raffles and break open tickets. Each year, hundreds of thousands of dollars are donated by branches in Ontario to other community and service organizations. As well as financial support, in many communities, the Legion hall is the main meeting place and venue for other community based organizations. Most branches provide this service free of charge. As well as support for others, Legion branches operate, or help to organize and operate many community programs. These include public safety programs, programs for seniors, meals on wheels, sport and youth programs.
