2 WINS today and the GIRLS are MOVING ON
The numbers are in, the points are tallied and the CHATSWORTH ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION Branch 464 PeeWee 'C' REBELS have QUALIFIED for the 2015 OWHA Provincial Championships.

With 2 games still to play ... the girls have already secured their spot with 5 WINS and a TIE under their belt.

Illness(es) had knocked the team down to 8 yesterday, but they bounced right back and hit the ice today for 2 playdown games with all 10 skaters, a goalie and 3 coaches accounted for.

GAME 1 - The girls started their day in Ayton with the West Grey Warriors and came home with a 5 - 1 WIN.
There was a full period of end to end action before Tristin Brown got a shot in top corner at :51.6 (assisted by Emily Meuser and Jess Davidson).
Morgan Moran started off the 2nd period getting a pass up to Jade Gilchrist who deeked the defence and scored top corner again on the breakaway.
Exactly a minute later, Jade and Abby Vokes got the puck out of our end and fed Tristin who took off up the ice and scored on the breakaway.
Tristin scored again midway through the 3rd to complete her hat-trick (assisted by Jamie Gilchrist).
The Warriors did sneak one into our net, but as every goal counts in the playdowns (we learned that the hard way last year) ... Tristin went in 1 on 4 and scored one more goal for the REBELS before the final buzzer.

GAME 2 - Back in Keady, the girls hosted the Grey Highlands Shooting Stars and earned a 7 - 1 VICTORY.
Emily scored early on a perfect pass from Tristin, and a minute later Tristin carried the puck back in, around the net and got a pass right to Abby in the slot for a high shot into the net.
Lindsay Elliot passed across the ice to Emily, who found Tristin ready with a shot just inside the post, for the lone goal of the 2nd period.
The REBELS kept the pressure on in the 3rd scoring 4 more goals.
Morgan fired a shot to the net, picked up by Jamie and finally tipped in by Reese Wilkins.  Great digging ladies!
Lindsay carried the puck in, got it to Tristin at the boards and Emily was ready with a one-timer into the net.
Reese and Abby worked together to get a pass to Tristin who scored her 6th goal of the day, and finally
Morgan let one fly from the point high into the net with 0:28 left to finish it off.

Ashlynn Stephenson was fabulous in net for the REBELS all day long.  What more can I say?

The REBELS final HOME PLAYDOWN GAME of the year is this Tuesday at 7:30pm in Keady where they will be looking to lock in that 1st PLACE FINISH with a WIN against the West Grey Warriors.
